The Alhamrani Group developed its first industrial business in 1973. Over 45 years, the group consolidated its position as a leading industrial player by investing in the latest manufacturing technology, developing new products and industrial business, focusing on meeting customer needs, and offering competitive pricing.

The first factory opened in Jeddah in 1974. Increased demand led to two more plants in Riyadh (in 1982) and Abu-Jubail (in 1983). The three factories are highly automated and have a combined, licensed, single-shift capacity of 1.8 million steel and 120,000 plastic drums annually.

Alhamrani Industrial Group (AIG) has an 80 per cent share of the Saudi Arabian drum market. Wholly owned by the group, AIG produces steel and plastic drums in the Kingdom and reduces dependence on imports into the Kingdom. AIG has important clients, Gulf Oils, Mobil, Shell, BP, Agip, Petromin, SABIC, Kuwait National Petroleum Company and many others across the petroleum, petrochemical, chemical and food industries.
